WiCS is a chapter of ACM-W, a committee that provides opportunities like scholarships to research, conferences, etc. We follow the ACM-W guidelines and add our own twist.
We are a club that supports, celebrates, and encourages the growing community of women in computing. We aim to raise awareness of issues faced by women in technology, in addition to inspiring women to explore educational and professional opportunities in the field through mentorship and service.

No prior programming experience is required. Hack Downtown is a beginner-friendly hackathon!
Over $2500 worth of prizes will be awarded in various categories, including Best Hack Overall, Best UI/UX Hack, and Most Innovative Hack.
Hack Downtown is FREE for all participants, thanks to our amazing sponsors! Participation includes free swag and food throughout the event.
A team can have 1-4 members.
Not to worry! You’ll meet plenty of people when you get here, at our team-building event. Many people go to hackathons without teams, so it’s perfectly normal to go around to people, tell them you’re looking for a team, and ask if you can help out. You can also join a team on our Discord and sign up together on our Devpost.
